Cotswolds

Today we took Mike's car and drove all day exploring little english villages which were adorable.  We started by driving through Chipping Norton to Burford, which has a bridge dated 1322. We love going into the old country churches.  All these little villages have such odd names.  Swinbrook.  Lower Slaughter.  Upper Slaughter.  Bourton-on-the-Water.  Stow-on-the-Wold.  Moreton-in-Marsh.  Chipping Campden.
Everywhere in the Cotswolds they have "public footpaths", which are walking trails going through fields from one village to another with interesting gates along the way that keep livestock out.  We took a footpath between the two Slaughters and back, which was quite relaxing.
What was NOT relaxing for Anton was the driving on the wrong side of the road on lanes half the size of ours back home, along hairneck curves with a stick shift, with no clue where he was going.  I thought he was quite competent, but he was quite frazzled.  He was quite happy to get back to Banbury in the evening.
