The ship was making time last night: we woke up in the middle of the night and she was seriously rocking from side to side. Welcome to the North Atlantic Sea! Not easy to sleep, considering we had just been to where the Titanic was built......
For the first time since being on board, we were able to hear the captain's message at 10 am. He promised 26C tomorrow: 13 in the morning and 13 in the afternoon ha ha ha. Actually, we doubt it gets that warm, the average for the Shetland Islands is 12C.
For being at sea all day, we had BIG plans! We took stock of how much money we have left, AND we rinsed out some clothing! Hopefully in a few days this means the last of dodging the clothesline in the bathroom.
Frankie used up our onboard credit on a hot stone massage, which was quite nice. The little Indonesian girl actually climbed up onto the table with her a few times, which would have been quite alarming had it been a male masseuse! And it should have been called a hot stone AND OIL massage, because when she was done, Frankie was greasier than a tub of bacon. Sorry, no x-rated pictures in this blog!
The rest of the day was pretty lazy which made a nice change. We checked out the male vocalist at the show, but Frankie got disgusted when he walked onto the stage and indicated with his hand that we all needed to start clapping for him. Hmph. He was some dude from Britains Got Talent and some broadway musicals. Frankie actually found that his saxophone player was pretty good, but the singer kept ruining it by singing. So we left.
Scotland is within sight....
